DURABILITY

Anchor 72 Fire Retardant Marine Plywood combines
the supreme durability of Anchor 72 Marine Plywood
against weather and wood destroying organisms with the
excellent fire resistance of Anchor Fire Retardant Plywood.
It has the following salient features:

  • Use of selected hardwood veneers for high strength and stiffness.

  • BWP type Phenol bonding as per IS I710:1976, which makes the plywood
withstand a rigorous 72 hours boiling test.

  • Impregnation with fixed type preservative chemicals by vacuum
pressure process as per IS 710:1976, which imparts durability against rot,
    termites and wood boring beetles
    which cause the notorious
"powder phenomenon" in building interior systems.

  • Impregnation with fire retardant chemicals by vacuum pressure process,
to meet the requirements related to flammability, flame penetration
and rate of burning as per IS 5509:1980, the IS Specification for
    Fire Retardant Plywood.

  • Strict Quality Control, Testing and Inspection procedures supported by
    experienced technologists.
